As most of you know, I attended my son's wedding in Scotland this September. Below are a few of the 1,000 or so pictures I took while there. They show some of the many reasons I have to give thanks. What fills your heart with thanksgiving?
God gave us eyes to see his creation, to absorb into our souls those people, places, and things that fill our heart. May we guard what we look at and only take in things like this - that feed our hearts with love. Great post, Steph!
Thanks for sharing some of your adventures with us, Steph! What a blessing that you were able to celebrate with your son and also explore a bit of Scotland.
What beautiful pictures. Congratulations to your family! My family and friends give me reasons to be thankful every day. Many thanks for visiting me at poetryofthenetherworld.blogspot.com
What an amazing backdrop for the wedding. May their marriage be as blessed as their wedding day. Where will the young couple be living? Your photos are breathtaking. Thanks for sharing.
The photo of the flower, reminds me of the poem--
Flower in the crannied wall, I pluck thee out of the cranny Hold you there in my hand. Little flower, but if I could understand what you are root and all and all in all, I should know what God and man is.
This is from memory and I think it is Longfellow. I would normally check, but I'm in a hotel and the wi-fi isn't letting me do this right now. Blessings and congrats to all.
