a coffeeshop
i wish
but the espresso machine
the buzz of conversation
the bell that sounds
every. single. time
the door opens
nope
not a coffeeshop
<sigh>
the park
i should be walking
i should be taking photos
i should have worn
bug spray
sunscreen
a hat
nope
not the park
<double sigh>
my desk
nonexistent
happens in the midst of renos
in its place
couch that needs replacing
multipurpose couch
reading nook
dining area
location for napping
for now
the couch is it
my makeshift writing spot
ideal
far from it
but workable
temporary
a spot
to be grateful for
but maybe
just maybe
i'll give the coffeeshop
or even the park
another try
how about you

Ooh, it's challenging to write in the midst of a renovation. Ask me how I know. The perfect writing spot can be elusive at the best of times. Thank you for sharing, Steph, and I hope you find that sweet spot in the midst of all the upheaval.
ReplyDeleteWriting in the midst of any upheaval, including renovations, has its many challenges. I add my wishes along with Lorrie that you'll find that sweet right spot. And I hope you'll scoop out a bit of time for a visit to a coffee shop or nearby park area. Thanks, Steph, for finding the time to write this post--I enjoyed it very much.
