As a child I was totally dependent on adults and I put my trust and faith in them to take care of me. As an adult and a Christian - I put my trust in Jesus and have faith in him to take of me. My child like faith was instilled in me long ago - "nestled in my heart." I can identify with much of what you are saying, including the fact of my having a sister 16 months older than I and our mother also dressing us alike when we were children.

I believe that God put a shield around me and protected me from getting too far away from his word or too far away from him. Reading and memorizing Scripture when I was younger, helped me hide God's word in my heart and that became a shield of protection that always led me back to God. I am thankful for the power of God's word. His word is ours to share with others. May we not hold back in that sharing.Sharon Espesethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13013272853384312117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-59806982113571914412017-04-28T13:16:17.255-07:002017-04-28T13:16:17.255-07:00Hi Vickie! Even as I am older and have more years behind me than I do before me I still in ways feel like a child. Your words held my attention and nestled into my heart. Thank you so much for such a tender message.Alan Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01192838076987472527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-28837254275513354932017-04-25T14:48:44.895-07:002017-04-25T14:48:44.895-07:00I have friends in church who raised their children...I have friends in church who raised their children in the church only to be saddened by the fact that they no longer go to church and don't really want anything to do with it. I tell my friends to never lose hope because once they invited Jesus into their hearts - Jesus never left and your kids will never forget Him either. God has the whole thing in his hands, we just have to wait on his timing. I must admit that His timing is still a difficult one for me.
