"Our own wrestlings within is where our themes can develop and through our writings, whether fiction or non-fiction, we explore resolution to our own Petri dish of struggles and questions." In order to have an understanding of of suffering we had to explore our owninner experiences of suffering. This inner reflection isalsowhere our writing themes may be found. Take care, Lynn. Thanks, Lynn, for your thoughtful suggestions. Very interested in Ted Dekker’s book. Will try to pay more attention to what is happening at the moment as it can, and I think should, translate into life themes for writing. I believe they may be releasing it again in the summer. The book goes along with the audio teaching. He starts with grounding in your identity in Christ. A perfect place. To tag yourself as 'from' there when not born there won't go over with well with the locals, I think! It's so true that often themes find us as we look "within to the questions, struggles and victories" in our own life. You tie this beautifully to the themes you identified with in your favourite books as a child. They certainly found you! Thanks, too, for your reference to Ted Dekker's "The Creative Way". I must read it!
