Memories ...Thank you, Pam, for this beautiful post. Memories crowd my mind - memories of the hunger winter of 1944/45 in Holland. Sliced “grey” bread on the table. Each of us received a slice. Dad would ask what we would like on it. The choices were a tiny bit of butter or a small amount of jam. Despite the scarcity of food, I remember the warmth around that table. The bread was comforting. And so today - the Bread of Life!Angelina Fasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12664440246753030626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-41048922552526733042020-04-07T13:19:59.364-07:002020-04-07T13:19:59.364-07:00Thank you Sharon. He said to write first and bake pies later. She even pretty much solely supported our family on her baking alone, at one point, so I could so relate to your beautifully written post Pam :) I too have been thinking much more about the basics in life and the meaningful and purposeful lately. Pam, you reminded me commercial made bread doesn't quite cut it when a choice is to be made. There are no substitutes. Like our faith, nothing else can come close to the faith we have in God through His Son. Pam, your message comforts me in this day. The commercial hype accompanying Easter and enticing people to buy sweets fails to offer what the Bread of Lfe is all about. Keep baking, my fried, but please never stop writing.Alan Andersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01192838076987472527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-66995410801524840032020-04-07T09:30:19.789-07:002020-04-07T09:30:19.789-07:00Thank you Tracy. I admit, I am among those who have baked since the pandemic hit. I am also so grateful for how jesus is our true bread and i appreciated the way you wove this powerful message into your post. God bless you and yours today. Tracy Krausshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05066853243062725525noreply@blogger.com
