In truth that was a game changer for me all those years ago -- to think that God would be happy with me and what I do. It made everything new and beautiful. Decades later, as a result of that moment, when I write, I have no doubt in His pleasure.

Brenda @ Its A Beautiful Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02955486477303938670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-41534889166067817182017-02-03T09:52:08.487-07:002017-02-03T09:52:08.487-07:00Thanks for such an affirming response, Sharon. And as Pierre Berton wrote in his "Joy of Writing", “The great moments of joy…come when, in a moment of revelation, the writer discovers that the child of her creation is not stillborn but will live. These final hours of gestation are the most rapturous the writer knows.”Sandi Somershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03097011585168805837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-84477042554982370512017-02-01T19:45:37.114-07:002017-02-01T19:45:37.114-07:00Thank you so much for this comment, Tracy. So often we tend to focus on what's going wrong, rather than on what's going right. God has shown me how to take things one step at a time to avoid getting overwhelmed and discouraged. I also take joy in knowing that God is pleased that I use His gift to help and encourage others. When I'm writing the joy comes as the story or article unfolds and God reveals something about Himself to me - the joy is in the process. It also comes when I discover what God is doing with my words. Last Sunday a woman told me she copied one of my Christmas pieces and sent it to everyone on her Christmas card list and I recently found out my devotional column, The Spur, is copied every time it goes out and put in the bulletin of a huge Mormon church in Hawaii! I just love it! :)Marcia Lee Laycockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09109390369843987353noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37258556.post-3281276627342886982017-02-01T10:07:54.501-07:002017-02-01T10:07:54.501-07:00Love that statement : when I write I feel His plea...Love that statement : when I write I feel His pleasure.
