My sister Joan, who passed on October 30 this year, and I used to do this too. We knew the things we wished for were way beyond our parents' financial status too, but we could look at the items and dream. Our parents always knew what we really would delight in and that's what we got. <br /><br />If they could give good gifts to us, how much more would our Father in Heaven give us good gifts. (Matt. 7:11) Then there is this message in Ephesians 4:20: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!
